Arrived Jeddah last night at 8.15 PM local time. Went through Immigration and customs
which took 5 hours, yes 5 hours, but that was quick otherwise it could even take 10 hours,
remember there are thousands of people constantly arriving from around the world. I saw a
fleet of Aircrafts mostly 747's on the Termac at Jeddah Airport, most of them chartered for hajj season.
Around 1.30 AM, we left by Coach to Madinah which is a 6 hours drive. On the way stopped
over for some light refreshment around 4 pm and continued the journey towards Madinah.
Around 6.30, stopped at a roadside Mosque for Fajr Prayers. Around 9 AM we arrived at the local Passport Office to register ourself and it took another 2 hours there before we finally reached the Hotel at 11 AM after nearly 48 hours of continuous travel since we left home. The kids and us were all exhausted. Went to Zuhr Prayers and after prayers, had light lunch and came back to the room and straight away hit the bed.

Had a good sleep of around 5 hours. Went out to get SIM cards for the phone and mobile broadband. Having issues with mobile broadband, unable to get the network link. In the meantime got cable connection to the net.
Went to Masjid Nabawi (Prophet's Mosque) for Isha Salah and went around the Mosque to see the Prophet's grave (PBUH). It was very crowded as expected. Managed to get inside as I was just by myself and went past the graves of Prophet's (PBUH), Hazrat Abu Bakr & Hazrat Omar's graves who are all buried next to each other. Hazrat Abu Bakr & Hazrat Omar are the first & second Caliph's of Islam.
